What is a MultiCash (.STA) bank statement

The statement is a text file split into blocks marked with tags. Each tag starts with a colon and a number followed by the value.

• :20: statement reference number
• :25: account identification, usually an IBAN or account number
• :28C: statement sequence number
• :60F: opening balance with a credit or debit mark, date and currency
• :61: a single transaction with date, direction and amount
• :86: additional transaction details such as description and counterparty
• :62F: closing balance

GPC is a CZK format with a fixed line length. MultiCash carries the currency in its balances, so it also suits EUR, USD or GBP accounts and payment services that do not support the domestic format.

In POHODA through a Homebanking service assigned to the bank account, in Money S3 through statement import with the MultiCash service. The service set on the account always decides; the extension alone is not enough.

VýpisFlow creates MultiCash for all 20 verified banks and payment services, including Revolut, Wise and Paysera. It assembles the balance and transaction blocks only after checking that the sum of transactions equals the difference between the balances.

MultiCash is more forgiving than GPC, but a few rules still apply, and imports most often fail on them.

• One file should contain one statement of one account in one currency.
• The :60F: and :62F: balances carry C for a positive and D for a negative balance; their currency must match the account currency in your accounting software.
• The :86: details have a limited length, so a long payment description may be shortened. Keep the original PDF.
• File lines end with CR LF, as is usual for this format; do not edit the file in an editor that changes line endings.
